I had a bad experience with communication. I made an appointment to evaluate my little one for possible autism. When the appointment date arrived, it turns out that the psychologist that was going to evaluate him was another doctor, called Dr. Luisa Fernanda Hernandez. My research was on Dr. Frank Perez and that’s why I chose him and decided to trust him with my child’s mental health. How can they change so easily the psychologist for a set appointment without any warning or asking the parent if they are comfortable with the change? I called, left a voicemail for them to call me back to set up a new appointment with the doctor I wanted for the first appointment and I haven’t heard from them for three days now. Either they really don’t care to lose a new patient or there is no professionalism or both. There is no caring. My advice is always check a couple of days before the appointment the doctor that you were assigned to because apparently is free for all. Oh and forget about calling on Friday. They won’t answer the whole day, working remotely or not. They just won’t.

I was referred by my Bariatric Surgeon's Office to Dr. Perez-Verdecia's practice for a routine pre-surgery psychological evaluation.
My counselor Roxana Terrero was very nice and it made me feel extremely comfortable after the first 15 minutes of conversation. The staff was very attentive to my scheduling needs and very polite. Dr. Frank Perez-Verdecia welcomed me from the very first session and made me feel as if I had been his patient for years.
I certainly will continue to visit them periodically and as needed for future counseling needs, and I will recommend them to Family and Friends as well.
